Last day…

Today I had my last hair app’t with the girl I have gone to for 12 yrs. She is moving. My first app’t with her was on April 26. And my last app’t with her was on April 26. Cool.

The last few days have just been so upsetting. And I am clueless as to why. Really emotional all day and nite. And my mind just was on overtime. Sort of over now and my general feeling is “I don’t care”. I just don’t. There are just things I am sick of that I cannot change. And there are people I have given up on because they gave up on me. Or just plain gave me up. My family is down to 4-5 cousins , a niece and nephew, and 2 awesome grandsons and a granddaughter. Sometimes I hear from son and his family. I have a good support group of friends, but they cannot cater to me. So I am mostly alone to deal with everything and anything. And today I just don’t care. Tomorrow I may feel different. And I force myself to keep as busy as possible away from here.

Weather is a bit more spring like. Rained last nite and today. Not steady. More coming in the next week. We have gone from being in the Extreme Drought region to the Severe Drought region. I am sure there are people who think the drought is over since it has rained. Well, until our ponds are over flowing and the underground water has been replaced and the rivers are full, no. The drought is not over.

Winter to Spring and Back Again

The last couple of weeks has gone from winter to spring to winter to spring. NOW they assure us winter is over. I will believe it when I see it. I love winter but now I am anxious for wildflowers to start blooming.

April ice storm

We had a bad ice storm a week and a half ago. Rain first then ice. No snow here. Made things beautiful but our electricity was off and on for around 24 hours. Here are some photos.

Last week

 

Been a busy week. Still not recovered from the flu. But I am out and about but fade fast late in the day. We had an ice storm and will do a post with just photos of the ice.

I ran errands in Salina and Lindsborg. Even after the ice, the pear trees look lovely. Went to my health food shop and to a Mexican bakery. Mmmm.

 

 

I worked last saturday at the Red Barn Studio. All the Christmas stuff is put away and are most of the toys. Fun to see some of the old stuff.

 

Great clouds today early on. There were showers in the state but did not amount to anything. I hear winter returns midweek.

I just downloaded this and am still learning. Nothing to photograph in the middle of the night here at home, so I went to YouTube. Interesting effects. Will try on clouds, people walking, waves on water.

Thursday

I had a good start to the week. But on Tuesday I got hit with the grand daddy of all colds. Not good. Here are photos from the beginning of the week.

 

Tuesday – Martes

This is a year of change, starting this month. My acupuncturist quit so I am going to a new on in Salina. First app’t was today. Totally totally different! They first did a scan which was probing different spots on my body. Showed where my energy was flowing. All good but my kidneys. This new doc does not use needles but electrical current. I felt nothing. She gave me a chart of fingers and toes and area to tap on daily. Then she put little balls in different places in my ears. I am to tap on those twice a day. They are working all the time, but by tapping, it gives those areas a boost. And I have some stretches to do for my knee. Interesting. I go in every 2 weeks.

My next change comes in april. My hair stylist is quitting and moving. I am sad. Had her for 12 years. But we have become friends so there are lunches in our future. I have decided to go to the guy whose station is behind her. I know him a little and he loves red hair so all should be good.

Had my hair coloured, etc. yesterday. Nice to be pampered. I really need a massage. Gotta call and make an appointment. Helps with my stress. And feels sooo good.

Supper at Jalisco’s. Went early because I thought Pepe needed me to do something for him. He did but I misunderstood what. So I went early for no reason. But nice to relax and be around friends. I will run his errand tomorrow. No problem. But I did learn 2 new phrases. Todos esta bien. Saludar a Antonio. I hope I can remember them when I go there next time!!!

Went to the historical association this evening. I am on the board so I go early for our meeting. Then we have a program. Tonite were clips from some very old old newspapers, back in the 1800s. Lots of history and memories. Great presentation.
