Today’s Name Day is Baltsar, Kasper, & Melker. I do not know any of these names. Saturdays names were Hanna & Hannele. I do know a Hanna & my one step-grandmother was Hannah. Thought for today:  Whoever said you can’t buy happiness forgot little puppies. -Gene Hill First I want to thank those who wished me a happy birthday. I was not thrilled with moving into a different generation. I  was surprised that anyone remembered & I appreciate the kind words & the ‘cake’!! We left for Topeka saturday morning. We got a very nice room & then went to Harrah’s Prairie Band Casino. That is always a losing time!!! I did win about $50 and then kept winning enough I could keep playing for a long time. That was a slot machine. I prefer to play black jack but they have very few tables. We wanted to see a movie after that but the one we wanted was not there. This morning we were up early & on our way to Frankfort KS to pick up something special. We got a puppy! They guy did have 2 left but one went yesterday. So we had no choice. And I admit that when I saw this one I did not think she was pretty at all. The mother was very loving & adorable. They were outside & the pup was covered in mud. You would think if they knew we were coming they could have cleaned her up. But mud balls & all, in the car she came. Glad I had a blanket to cover up with. Well, when she snuggled up in my arms & licked my nose a time or two, looks went out the window!! We christened her Kajsa Jo & will call her Jo. She is 6 weeks old but much larger than Ruffa was at this age. The ride home went well. She slept a lot. For lunch we got ice cream cones. Jos nose went into overtime! It must have smelled really good. I put a bit on my finger & she lapped it up!! And I shared a bit a cone with her also. When we got home, Jo got a bath & looked so much better. Her face reminds us both of a polar bear. It is mostly white. She prefers that someone is on the floor with her. She got very sleepy & kept going in circles. I put a foot on the floor & she curled up by it. That is what she was looking for. She has also already learned to get up on Willie’s chair. NOW. To puppy-ise the house!!
