Today’s Name Day is Fabian, Sebastian. Of course, all of us of a certain age will remember the singer Fabian. I saw him in person once & he was gorgeous. He also has a daughter named Julie. I do not know any Sebastians. Thought for today: — George Herbert I skipped church again. Someday I will go, but not today. I have way too much anger still over Ruffa being taken away from me. I have found out that the Buddhaist group from Wichita does have meetings in Salina. They have one that starts in february. It is focused on love. I asked my friend David about it. They usually meditate for a few minutes & then have a lesson. I think we all could use a lesson in how to be more loving to others, and just others that are clones of ourselves. There are too many here who will not accept someone who has a different skin colour, ethnicity, beliefs, etc. John & I took David out for a farewell dinner. He goes back home today. It has been nice to get to know him better while he was here. I will surely see him in Wichita often & he will be coming here more often now also. He has 2 showings coming ip & I hope to go to both. He did show back up at the Raymer just about when I was leaving. I had a chance then to say goodbye to him. One of his shows is for the Final Friday event in Wichita. The last friday of every month all the galleries in the downtown area are open in the evenings. They all serve snacks. You can walk or take a trolley from one to another. I have wanted to go for a long time. Hopefully this will be the time. Wichita is finally becoming ‘arty’. Back at work at the Red Barn. When I walked in I found a cellphone laying in the snow. Found a contact on it for ‘home’. It was Marsha’s. phone. She came in to pick it up, check some email, etc. And we had to chat a bit. Broke up the afternoon which was too quiet. But I brought in my notebook so I have been playing…..changed my Multiply site, did some art. Did have 2 ladies come in but they were not interested in a tour. They sort of brushed me off like I was a fly or something. I told them that we do not allow anyone to just wonder through the studio & I would walk with them. Then all they did was look at David’s paintings. He was not there.They were my only visitors. Jo is really a blessing. Last nite I think she must have missed me since I was gone most of the day. She laid in my lap & let me rub her tummy. Usually she is biting at the same time, but last nite she was biting my fingers, but very softly. Willie tends to want all her attention & I think he was not happy I was the center of attention,. He tried to lure her away, but she just came back. Late this morning she was all wound up from feeding cows. She was running all over the place! She would leap on the soffa & then right away jump off, run to the kitchen, then back on the soffa…..round & round! I asked Willie early today to go out to eat tonite. But now he refuses to go. He seems to think if I eat out with friends at noon I have no need to eat out the evening. He does not understand that maybe I want to do something with him other than watch him sleep in his recliner every nite. I just walked out & said nothing. Why bother. It serves no purpose except to upset me for days. Gått för dagen. Kanske.
