KSU 84 KU 75

Not since 1983 has Kansas State University beat arch rival Kansas University on their home court in basketball. And never in this gymnasium. But tonite the streak ends. KU was never, ever ahead for even a minute. The gymnasium is now pandemonium. The crowd is now all down on the court together. It is just beyond awesome. We have taken crap from KU & their fans forever. Many of Willies friends are KU fans & each & every one of them are not only poor winners but poor losers. IF I was like them, I would be on the phone now smirking & rubbing it in. But I will not stoop to their level. I cannot even express what a great moment this is!!! My grandson & I were texting like mad the last 5 minutes!!!

Our coach is Cuban & rarely smiles, but towards the end of the game he not only smiled but he laughed. Great to see!!

Ahhhh. Life is good.

This year is just going so good. It is so nice that we are doing so well & to get compliments. I left last nite in such a good mood & on a natural high. I hope we just get better & better. Our director Dan is so nice & so funny. He makes it enjoyable to practice. Next year he will be on sabbatical & he will be sorely missed. Marsha from the Red Barn called yesterday. The lady whose place I take is going out of town for a few weeks. I will get to work a little more while she is gone. I wonder if it is for pay? Will have to find out. At least it is after the wedding. I finally talked with the family member having a rough time. It is my grandson. I feel better talking to him but he is still not out of the woods. He is being falsely charged with something & maybe even was set up by someone he thinks is a friend. I am still upset & in high stress mode, but more encouraged. It is warm today but with winds from 30-40mph. Snow moving in tonite with up to 2″ after midnite & then up to 2″ tomorrow. The winds will continue so we are in  a blowing snow advisory.
