Class last nite was fun. Three of my classmates took one scene from a movie & analyzed it for us. I enjoyed them except one girl chose the beginning scene from Scream. I do not like slasher movies. I had to hide my eyes. At least it was not dark when I walked to my car. (picture the fear in my heart!)
One of my classmates is such a nice girl & lots of fun. But. A week ago she got into an arguement at the local bar protecting her 300 pound black boyfriend. The police were called & now she has to take anger management classes. We are all still laughing. It was not much of an argument & since the other guys & her guy had all been drinking she was trying to prevent a major fight. But our local cops are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. I really like & respect our police chief, but that is as far as it goes. We have one who shot someone’s lap dog that barked at him from the dog’s own porch. And yet he remains on the force. (sigh)
Nice weather today. Not so hot as it was. Won’t last though.
I had a quiet day & even took a nap. But tonite I had a docent meeting. I am very frustrated. What in the world can we do to actually get ALL the docents to attend? One drove in from Kansas City & came straight to the meeting. A couple of others were most likely sitting at home. You either want to be a docent or you don’t. Other than my frustration, the meeting went well. Marsha talked about some of the saints Lester Raymer used in his art work. It was so interesting. New information will help me give a better tour when people come in. If you are not inspired & interested you will give a rotten tour. Enough said.
We had our meeting in the far studio. There is a very large window that looks out into the courtyard. I noticed in the tree there was a robin’s nest. We could watch the mom & dad take turns feeding these tiny bobbing heads. Very nice.
American Idol was very nice. The final 2 contestants did really well. I have my favourite & have voted for him around 15 times tonite. I have a feeling he might not make it but who knows. They will both be stars if they want it.
And the election has gotten interesting also. Obama has the majority of pledged delegates. Great!!! And God knows we desperately need a change from the horrors of the last 8 years. We may never recover. It is criminal for sure.
