Girl’s weeklend

Jo & I are had a girl’s weekend. Willie went to Oklahoma with his friends from friday until sunday. So if you are reading this, he is home. I would never blog that I was here alone. I watch too many Alfred Hitchcock shows!! Jo knew something was up. Thursday nite she seemed to cling closer to me than usual. And the friday morning she was tussling with Willie & barking & growling. She never does that in the mornings.

Friday went pretty good. It was hot & muggy so she spent most of the afternoon inside. Even with a crummy a/c, it was cooler than outside. But I had to set my alarm for around 3,30am. That is when Willie takes her out. And so did I. Then I was up at 7,30am to let her outside for the morning. I went back to bed.

On saturday I had to work. I actually had 6 tours. And I did all the thank you cards. When I got home Jo & the kitty were in a Mexican stand-off. Jo would not even come in the house although she could manage a trip to the pond to dip.

Then my grandson Chris & a friend came to here fish our pond. I wondered how they would catch any with Jo out there swimming & jumping on them. Actually  they caught 13 smallish ones. And Jo was not too big a pest.

I stopped at Pizza Hut on the way home & treated myself to hot wings & breadsticks with cheese. And I am watching ‘Wild Hogs’. So far it is pretty funny. It was cooler today with less humidity so all-in-all, a good day. As of 7,30 Saturday morning Willie had not killed himself.

Saturday nite went pretty good. Jo learned when she heard my alarm it was time to go out so, she was at the door ready to go outside.

I met John, Sally, & Paul at Jalisco’s for lunch. I had taquitos again. And way too many salsa & chips. Way too many.

Our waiter was Augustin. He is very cute & very nice. His english is pretty good & he said he understood us pretty well. Since we live in a swedish town, we asked if he had learned any swedish yet. Well, of course not!! So I taught him ‘thank you’ (tack så mycket) & hello & goodbye (hej). And he used tack så mycket with us several times. And when I left he waved at me with a Hej! He also taught me a spanish word also. None of the waiters know much english. There is one girl & she really understands nothing we say. But the service is the best in town. The absolute best. The food is excellent & served quickly after ordering. It is my new favourite place to eat.

After eating we drove up to the Smoky Valley Cemetery. I showed them where my body will rest sometime far in the future. We looked at some family graves. A man who goes to my swedish group was there & we noticed our future graves are not too far from each other. I told him maybe we can cause some trouble there in the future!! He just laughed & told that I would have to behave!!

It is pretty warm again & humid. There have been storms with huge hail (4 inch diameter) south of here, but we never had rain nor thunder. But the chance is there again today & tomorrow.

Gått för dagen. Kanske.
