A nice day that turned very sad…..

Namndag: Eivor, Majvor Thought for today:   “You can shed tears that she is gone,  or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left. Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,  or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her only that she is gone, or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind,  be empty and turn your back. Or you can do what she’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.”  David Harkins      The weather is miserable. Very, very muggy with some clouds. Maybe rain later. Even walking in the house makes me sweat. Have to learn the Miami shuffle to see if that helps. (very humid in Florida, people learn to move sloooow.) I met John, Sally, Paul, & Jordy for lunch at Jalisco’s. Tried something new. It was ok but not my fave. Jordy had cheese dip instead of salsa. Too good for words!!! And Augustin remember how to say hello, goodbye, & thanks in Swedish!!! I am a good teacher. After I got home I got such a horrid phone call. My Aunt Marth died today at noon. I knew it was coming, but I was still not ready. All 3 kids were at her side & she died very quietly. Sometimes before one dies they will have a really good moment — more alert or feeling extra good. Aunt Marth had one yesterday. She heard there was a BBQ at noon at her nursing home. She wanted to go. So 2 of her kids took her. She ate a large lunch that she enjoyed. They had music that she just loved — tapping her feet & fingers to it. What a nice memory. That evening she slipped into a coma. They are going to cremate her so no funeral for a couple of weeks. I talked with another aunt later & found out a cousin died last friday or saturday. His funeral is wednesday here. All very scary. Deaths always —- ALWAYS —- come in 3’s. I hate that. When I worked at the hospital, if you had a death, there would always be 2 more. Gått för dagen. Kanske.     Be well, do good work, and keep in touch!

Mono Monday #10

The rules for Mono Mon are pretty simple.Well I hope they are anyways. these are the steps and guidlines and are subject to change as we work the kinks out of this. This is the page to post your link after you have your end results. 

1.   Choose your color image (one only) 

2.   Do your conversion to one of three types that will be accepted Black and White, Sepia ,”Sepia Example” Or 
      Black and White with a single hand painted (digitally painted) color. See ”Hand Painted ”  

3    Take notes on what processes and steps, programs used, anything that contributed   in
      making the final image.

4.   Write your blog. when finished and happy with it bring it to this page and post your link      
      only (no images) Also things to remember is to keep your title as short as possible long
      long links tend to wreck the right rail allingment on the owners pages.

5.   After link is posted start visiting and seeing all the wonderful shots  and
       techniques being shared.

6.   Posting will close on Tuesday so we can all ready ourselves for “Picture Perfect Friday”

• removed digital camera noise 
• enhanced edges 
• duplicated the original
• changed top layer to to black & white
• removed area over flower.
• added 2 faces somewhere in graphic
• merged & added a border
