Mono Monday #11

The rules for Mono Mon are pretty simple.Well I hope they are anyways. these are the steps and guidlines and are subject to change as we work the kinks out of this. This is the page to post your link after you have your end results. 

1.   Choose your color image (one only) 

2.   Do your conversion to one of three types that will be accepted Black and White, Sepia ,”Sepia Example” Or 
      Black and White with a single hand painted (digitally painted) color. See ”Hand Painted ”  

3    Take notes on what processes and steps, programs used, anything that contributed   in
      making the final image.

4.   Write your blog. when finished and happy with it bring it to this page and post your link      
      only (no images) Also things to remember is to keep your title as short as possible long
      long links tend to wreck the right rail allingment on the owners pages.

5.   After link is posted start visiting and seeing all the wonderful shots  and
       techniques being shared.

6.   Posting will close on Tuesday so we can all ready ourselves for “Picture Perfect Friday”

Here is my original picture. Not. I cannot find it. God only knows where I filed it!!!

I resized it then did  

• enhanced edges 
• removed the top part of the photo I did not like
• added a second layer & moved down
• filled bottom layer with a gradient 
• merged
• added border

Namndag: Hakon, Håkan Thought for today:     Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind. – Albert Einstein       Last Willie & I drove to Salina to look at some storm damage. Not a whole lot but if it was your house damaged, it would be too much. A friend’s business was damaged but it sure could have been worse. We went to eat then at A&W & Long John Silvers. They are in the same place. That will be the last we go there. My hamburger was awful. His fish was not the best. I ate at one of these places in Denver & it was great food. Willie just ate fish at one near Oklahoma. But what is good other places can be so bad in Salina. Go figure. I worked today at the Red Barn Studio. Not too bad of a day. I gave a tour to 8 people. They seemed really interested. Then a local artist came in. We talked about a case he made for one of our pieces on display. He told me something about I never knew & I told him something about the piece on display he did not know.  I worked on the database of owners of Raymer art today. I have almost 1600 entries. Each entry is one piece of art. Lester was very prolific. And this is just what we know of. There could be more out there. I have been in a dark mood. Sad for the losses in my family & friends. Scared to death of next weekend. Feeling abandoned by my family. Why would I expect something from any of them when they have made it abundantly clear to me they do not care. Period.  Just feeling sorry for myself & rather alone. Last nite Josh & I texted for a long time. That did help, little does he know. But today something just happened that has really made me feel great. Tim called me from Wichita. He is on the Raymer board as well as being ’släkt till släkt’ (almost family) to each other. He asked me if I would co-chair an art sale in november. A fund raiser for the Raymer. My friend John will be the other co-chair. We will ask my friend Fred from Wichita to assist us. I am so honoured!! I am really feeling nice inside. Still a little dark inside, but much less. Once I get to Denver, I will be ok.  The other day Willie put Jo in her pen. He had barely got to his truck when he saw her back up to the middle of her pen, take a flying leap at then gate, & sail over it landing almost on the porch. The gate come up to my chin & I am 5′3″. So today I come home. Jo is locked up. Willie wired an open lawn chair on top of the gate. He is truly a hillbilly at heart. So sad. But it worked. Nice weather today. No clouds in sight. (sigh of relief) Chance for rain tomorrow. Nice to have a break from severe stuff. Gått för dagen. Kanske.     Be well, do good work, and keep in touch!
