Today I met John & Rodger for lunch. Sally, Paul, & her sister Julie joined us. We ate at Jalisco’s. It was a short lunch since I had to work today.
Rodger’s last day at the Red Barn was yesterday. We had planned to have a while to visit before he took off, but a tour group came in. So we said our goodbye’s earlier than planned.
My tour was a great group. A friend from McPherson, John, brought in a couple of people. John is in charge of the Opera House there & these people have been brought in to help with the restoration of it. It is such a joy to give a tour to people who are interested in what I say, in art, in the artist. They asked a lot of questions. It was a delight.
Our weather was gorgeous today. Not too hot, light breeze, low humidity. I came home & sat outside. The kittens have decided that the porch is their new home. They are still a bit skittish of me but they sat near me. Then later the one let me pet her. They are so adorable.
Jo just has no brains!! I watched her stalk a dove. Yea, like that went well!! And she played with her ‘toys’ —- a twig, a log, & a large dried cow patty.
