Well I had a bit of a medical emergency today. Yesterday I used my last bit of insulin so at supper I opened a new package of insulin pens. And. OMG. It was the wrong insulin. At first I thought maybe the pens were redesigned, but in reading the entire box…..wrong. I managed to have enough for my evening dose from 2 pens that were almost empty. But there was none for today. I called my pharmacy when they opened. The apologised & said they would order mine. But that left me a day & a half with nothing. They called around & found a box at another pharmacy. I had Willie drive me to Abilene this noon. I finally got to eat around 1pm. I dared not eat before. I am sure my blood sugar went high even without eating but to eat it would have went sky high.
I had planned to take John to Lawrence to see his daughter. Her husband got a job in Houston TX. She leaves next week. So we had to reschedule our trip. I feel really bad. Her husband will have a month of training —- Paris France. They are both going there & staying with his aunt who lives there. Oh, for a job like that!!!
Cool weather again. Very nice but now all the flies within a 100 mile radius is looking for a warm inside place to live. Driving me crazy. Be well, do good work, keep in touch!
