-Varmt välkommen hit-
Weather Outlook: Highs – 40 – 50′s. Lows – 20 – 30′s. Rain on thursday and rain/snow on friday. Yesterday was chilly but sunny.
I had my acupuncture yesterday afternoon. I never had sooo many needles in me. I my usual 2 in my hands and 3 on my feet. For my cold symptoms she did 2 on each palm, 1 on each wrist, 1 on either side of my nose, and 1 on each foot. The ones on my palm hurt like he– going in. Yikes!!!
My acupuncturist is the best. I have been so incredibly depressed and getting wrose with the holidays. I looked for a product called SamE but apparently it is not a big seller in Kansas. I cannot find it in McPherson or Wichita. It is advertised on the tv so it is sold somewhere. Dr. Tina did some research and found what makes it so powerful. And she has 2 natural pills with that same ingredient, pills that comes from foods. I bought one of them and will still take St. John’s Wort. Maybe I can stay away from the more harmful drugs for something healthier and much cheaper.
Last nite was class. We watched a 3 hr. movie. It was called Jeanne Dielman, 23 Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles. I was incredibly boring but with a surprising end. I imagine that parts of it could have been cut out or shortened, but it would have lessoned the effect. This movie has not been available anywhere for many years. Written and directed by
Chantal Anne Ackerman at age 24 in 1975. Done in french with english subtitles. We will discuss next week. Classmate a friend John said we now have conversation for 1 cocktail party after seeing this rarely seen movie. He has worked in the movie industry and is a wealth of knowledge. But I actually upped him. I have seen a movie he never heard of. It is Joan of Arc starring Ingrid Bergman. It was an Italian production of a French opera spoken in Italian with Spanish subtitles. And it was an operetta. It was never shown here in the US. There are no words to describe it. Did not really need to understand the language. Now I have stuff for 2 cocktail parties.
Several of us are looking for a place to continue having a movie nite when class ends. One classmate may have it at his house. I sure hope so. The rest of us can bring food, wine, whatever. Eric has so many resources and is a wealth of knowledge. He is a treasure.
I was up very early today. The Red Barn had a group of 42 high school kids from Wichita in for a tour. One person cannot handle a group of 40. We split them in 2. All nice kids.
After that I was off to Abilene for medicine and lunch. I hate to eat alone so I just ate in the car. I talked to Bill all the way home. He ended up losing 2 jobs. Jenn said she faxed everything this morning and it all went, but they got nothing. I have had that happen. Whether it really does not go or someone picks it up and it gets lost. Bill was not in a good mood. I am sorry for him.
Now home with my feet up and watching tapes of my soap operas. I am hoping for no more trouble this week. Period.
