Photo blogg here.
Weather was nice today, but a little breezy. It is cooler than yesterday. We have a chance of moisture on 12 november. Right not there is freezing rain forecast then and the next day is ice. What? We cannot have just rain?? Sheesh.
Met Sally, Paul, John, Richea, Chad, Rosie, and Jordy for lunch in Smolan at a bbq place in an old school. It is buffet style and too good for words. They all but John had a big costume party last nite. They wanted me to attend but I just could not go alone when every one else had a spouse, partner, and/or kids there. My aloneness would have just slapped me in the face. Better to stay home. It was fun to hear about it though.
Willie has been gone since friday. He went with his friends to Oklahoma to ride the sand dunes on their ATV’s. Home today. It is mostly men and kids. Not sure kids should be there. God knows what they hear. Sometimes the other wives go but I have never been invited. Not my sort of thing I would enjoy. Jo has been so depressed without Willie and her truck rides. Last time she refused to eat until he was home but this time she has eaten ok. Been a long long weekend for her, but a short weekend for me.
Last nite I was feeling really down and quite blue. Nancy called and we have a great talk. Told me about a cousin’s birthday party, her kids, a sick uncle, the new IKEA store being built in Denver. I had to walk Jo while we talked. Then she had to walk her dog. Fun we could help walk each other’s dog from 400 miles away!! Her call really helped my mood.
Very sad. My uncle in Denver has been ill, in the hospital, and now in rehab. Not one of his kids can be bothered to tell Nancy or me. And my aunt and uncle near here called long after the fact. I wonder if I will know when he dies or will the funeral be long over? He is getting better but it sounds like assisted living might be out now.
Ciao for niao!
Jag behöver semester! Jag vill åka till Sverige!
Late last night
While we were all in bed
Miss O’Leary left a lantern in the shed . . .
When the cow tipped it over…
She winked her eye and said,
“It will be a hot time in the old town tonight.”
