Blogg 18/11/2011 Out of the house….

Weather has been ok. Fairly nice until today. Gale force winds. And we are in a severe fire danger due to our drought. Made it hard to drive. I could hear it howling all nite long. Calmer now tonite. Cold and wet is maybe coming on sunday. Cold for sure, wet, who knows?

Stayed home yesterday. Did laundry and ran the dishwasher. Ah, life in the fast lane….

Swedish group today. Actually had 13 there. Sometimes when we do a translation, some don’t come then. Several do not like to translate, others love it. So hard to please everyone. It was super easy today and we have not done any for a long long time.

After group I rushed to Salina to meet Beth, Janet, & Marian for lunch at Moka’s. We visited for 4 hours!! What a gab fest. Then I had to stop at Fleur de Lys for some makeup.

Busy weekend ahead. Vegetating tonite.

वर्षा, बारिश, आज आया. हीट गुंबद दूर जा सकते हैं.

  1. Glad you had a nice time in Salina! It’s fun to buy make-up too :)
I bought a lipstick in Sweden. Nivea. They don’t seem to sell lipsticks here.

  2. Never heard of Nivea lipstick. there was one store in Kalmar that was nothing but makeup, skin care, hair care, etc. I spent hours in there looking. And a little shopping too!! At that time we had Rimmel makeup here but in Sweden the selection was huge!!!

    • It’s funny with all those make-up brands … Rimmel has been around in Sweden since I was a kid, and was always considered the cheapest crap you could buy. The l’Oreal brand came much later, and was considered very exclusive.

Now, when I was home, I noticed that they had got both Maybelline and CoverGirl. Those didn’t exist before I left.

When I came to Canada, I thought Nivea was Swedish LOL …that’s what happens when you live in your own little world.

The classical brands, like Helena Rubenstein, are always around … even though they change their colours too..

Any questions or thoughts???
