Weather was a bit warmer today but there is snow coming tonite. Or so they say. If they forecast heat or wind, I believe it is written in gold, but rain or snow, usually all lies. I have lost most hope. One weatherman has forecast at least 10 in. of snow during february and march. Ha. The radar shows a shower here but nothing hitting the ground.
Yesterday there was no lunch out for me. But had Messiah rehearsal. I did lots of acupressure and my back was tolerable. Our director said he would let us out a bit early for the Super Bowl. I could not care less about the game or teams or stats, but I like the commercials. I did not care for the halftime show with Madonna. To be honest, I thought it was boring. Boring outfit, boring dance routine, boring songs. The effects were good but that was it. And whoever won was not the world champion. The world does play football but not American football. We only play American teams.
Today I went with Naomi, Keo, and Betty to the Groundhog Sausage Dinner in Inman KS. It was a feast of sausage, mashed potatoes, gravy, sauerkraut, corn, rolls, and pie. This is a yearly event and was excellent. I enjoyed the food and especially the company. We followed the Bethany Home busses there. Betty’s husband was in one of them. I sat across from 3 Bethany Home employees I know well but have not seen often since Mom died. Had a great conversation. A good day.
The other day a friend made the comment that she would not care if our weather never got colder than 60F. Well, we live in Kansas. We have 4 seasons. You want warm all year, try Florida or Texas. We plant winter wheat here. Not spring wheat, winter wheat. It is supposed to be in cold weather and snow. If it is always warm, will it be a good crop? We are much warmer than normal this year but we get no moisture. If it gets drier, our wheat will be in trouble and there will be no hay or grass for our cattle. There is a dairy in Texas that drives up here twice a week to buy hay for their cattle. They are desperate. It might get worse. If the weather in Kansas truly never got colder than 60F, that would signal something is terribly wrong in our world. Be careful what you wish for for your wish might come true.

We have snow forecast for tonite and tomorrow and rain on wednesday. Not holding my breath but hope they are correct.
